🎄

Welcome to [24 Days of Unpopular Opinions.](https://www.aliciamckay.co.nz/24-days/) In this series, enjoy an advent calendar of daily hot takes to help you get through the silly season.

Today's featured opinion is from [Cam Fink](https://www.linkedin.com/in/camfink/?originalSubdomain=au&ref=aliciamckay.co.nz), who argues we are wrong-er than we realise - so we should keep that assumption in mind.

Personally, while I can see how this applies to other people, I've not experienced this phenomenon.

Merry Christmas,

## You’re probably wrong

#### By Cam Fink

You’re not as right as you think.

It’s impossible for everyone to be right simultaneously. Statistically, the odds of maintaining a 100% rightness streak are microscopic.

Humans are fallible in all kinds of ways. Our senses and memory are selective and unreliable. Our biases are pervasive. Our belief systems invisible, our values arbitrary.

We’re wrong in ways we can’t see and don’t realise. Life is better when we’re open to that possibility.

(Of course, I could be wrong.)
