Tamworth, New South Wales, has an exciting future ahead. With a 20 year community strategy providing the big picture vision, the executive team knew that Council would need to change the way they do business to be the future-shapers that Tamworth needs.

Over three months, a carefully selected cohort of Council leaders pulled together a powerful, focused strategy for organisational transformation. 

Participants knew that to make the most of new opportunities, they needed to focus their attention on the areas that create the most value, and to excite and engage staff in a culture that embraces change. 

The results are clear: no boring, abstract plans here. A sharp, clear organisational strategy, endorsed by staff, and owned by the executive team is now in place. Thanks to rigorous pressure-testing with operational managers, an achievable implementation plan and targeted masterclasses in managing risk and leadership communication, the executive team is ready to lead Tamworth into a new future.
