Turning up more confidently
Donna Ross is Director of Strategic Policy and Programmes at the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. After completing Not An MBA, she noticed a huge change in her confidence.
“I turn up at meetings better prepared and more confident. Before, I’d come and at the corner ofthe table and not say very much. Now, I I take my place in the middle of the table. I feel like I can contribute a lot more. I could have done it before! But it’s taken the naMBA course to reinforce it.”
Hear Donna reflect on her newfound confidence - and how’s it changed the way people view her at work - in this video:
Grateful for community
When we asked Donna how to sum up her Not An MBA experience, she came back to one word: grateful.
“i am grateful, for finding and discovering Alicia, for meeting all the people on the course, and for them sharing their knowledge and expertise with me. I’m grateful that I was able to do the same with people - and I'm grateful I have a lot more tools in my kit!
… And I don’t wait for permission now. I just go ahead and get done.”
