You're not lazy. You’re not unfocused. And you’re definitely not stupid. But it is getting harder to think clearly, trust your judgement, and make decisions in uncertainty.
The way I see it, you've got two options.
If option one works for you: close the tab.
There are thousands of leaders, decision-makers and advisors here, looking to parse the madness and get help as they wade through complexity treacle. There are just as many curious Joanne Bloggs who find the world a weird and interesting place, and like to cock their heads in wonder and find out more about it.
I don't do self-help and hollow platitudes. I can't promise easy answers or three step-solutions. But I am a huge believer in your ability to see and shift the systems and stories that show up in your world. That belief informs everything I do.
Free members get newsletters, emails, and online access to free tools and frameworks.
Wednesday Wisdom - You'll get an email from me every Wednesday. I've been publishing Wednesday Wisdom since 2018 and we've grown from 28 readers to over 11,000 subscribers.
Essays - I write deep-dives on social and professional issues like The Ambition Recession, AI and technology.
Tools and frameworks - Practical guides and resources to help you apply the things we talk about here.
Paid members get all of the above, plus some extras.
Friday Flurry - A fortnightly behind-the-scenes email for paid subscribers. I write about my life, work and creative process, what I've been reading, watching, and thinking, and personal reflections on whatever's caught my interest. Catch up on previous issues.
Reading Log - A database of books I've read - and what I'm currently reading. This work in progress includes reviews and quotes, and you can dig into the database based on title, author, genre, themes, or vibes. Jump in.
Ask Alicia - New! Submit your curly questions about life, work, and leadership. New posts and answered questions all live on the AMA page.
Bonuses - Paid-only resources and guides, sneak-peeks to upcoming articles and books, occasional live webinars, handy tools to download.
As little as possible to get the stuff to you without making your life worse because emails suck. You can manage your own newsletter subscriptions at any time. The default setting is: Wednesday Wisdom (weekly), Friday Flurry (fortnightly) and then occasional (monthly, or less) updates on events and things. I suppose you could turn off all emails and only scroll through what's here when you feel like it, too? Though you'd probably forget, because that's what life is like, isn't it?
I reckon. Lots of members charge their membership to their work credit card as professional development - and you can download your invoice from your dashboard to make the paperwork easy.
Yep. You can manage your own account at any time from the Member Dashboard. I don't make it hard because man those things are gross - the "are you sure" clickthroughs with greyed out cancel buttons, the "email a person" barriers. Ew ew ew.
Absolutely. A paid membership is a gift that keeps giving all year! If you're a member, there's a gifting link inside your member portal to access any time. If you're just stopping by, you can buy a gift here.
The short answer is: almost.
Thank you for asking. Same person behind the screen, often similar and complementary topics, but a different thing. This here is a membership to access writing, videos and tools, including a weekly newsletter. Not An MBA is an eight week leadership programme that runs once or twice a year. Check it out here.

"I consider this newsletter fuel for my tank. There is never a time where a headline or a sentence doesn't jolt me into action or shift my thinking."
