It's time to get sh*t done

Are you in an executive team and trying to make change happen? Are all those meetings, reviews, coaching sessions, consulting reports, and leadership workshops starting to feel like a waste of time? Is it time to do something?

If you're going in circles, chances are you don't need more information, more facilitation, or more steps. You need to cut through the noise, make clear decisions and take confident action.

When to book an Executive Intervention

Executive Interventions are designed for executive teams who are grappling with one or more of the following challenges:

Who Executive Interventions are for

If you're a senior executive who's ever wished you had an expert in your corner to offer specific, professional advice on what to do next - similar to the straight-up chats you have with your lawyer or accountant - you're in the right place. Strategist and change practitioner Alicia McKay brings 15+ years experience and global expertise in leadership, strategy and organisational change to senior executives committed to getting things done.

Executive Interventions are focused, strategic sessions for senior leaders who:

Choose from a Strategy Reset, Decision Clarity or Course Correct intervention to cut through the noise and start delivering tangible outcomes.

Executive Interventions are not suitable for

What an Executive Intervention is

Executive Interventions are focused, high-impact sessions designed to change how your leadership team understands the challenges in front of them and move toward progress. We will interrogate your context, identify gaps and blind spots, surface assumptions and misconceptions, uncover power dynamics and constraints, and clarify real options.

Together, we'll reach a level of clarity where the next steps become obvious.

What Executive Interventions are not

Executive Interventions are not coaching sessions, team dynamics workshops, or facilitation processes. They are not deep-dive consulting engagements.

What to expect from me

I work as an expert strategist and systems practitioner with senior leaders in complex environments. I am not a neutral facilitator or supportive coach.

I'm here to identify patterns and hidden dynamics, challenge your assumptions, and offer my expert opinion.

I will be direct, and if something doesn’t make sense, I’ll say so. If you’re solving the wrong problem, we’ll shift focus. If there are dynamics you’re not seeing, we’ll make them visible.

How your Executive Intervention works

First, we’ll book a short discovery call to check for fit. If I’m not the right person to support, I’ll tell you.

Before

Before the intervention, you provide a short overview of what you’re trying to achieve, what’s not working and what decisions you’re currently stuck on. (Any relevant documents can be shared, but no heavy preparation is required.)

During

We'll work through a structured 1.5-2 hour process together to:

After

You'll receive a short summary of what we discussed, key dynamics to be aware of and next steps, priorities, or recommendations.

All conversations are kept strictly confidential. However, notes are captured in our client database to improve our service to you, and insights may be used in a non-attributable fashion for publishing, speaking and training purposes.

Who should attend the Executive Intervention

These sessions are designed for intensive work between 3-6 people. Attendees should be senior leaders or those directly responsible for the issue.

This works best with people who are close to the problem, can act on what emerges, and are willing to engage honestly.

What you get

At the end of our time together you'll have:

Intervention options

Strategy Reset

For leadership teams with a strategy that isn’t translating into action. Clarify what your strategy is trying to do, and see whether it holds up.

You will find this intervention useful if:

  • Your strategy exists, but it’s not driving behaviour change
  • There are too many priorities and no real focus
  • Teams are busy, but progress is unclear
  • Different people are interpreting the strategy differently
  • You suspect the issue isn’t execution - it’s the strategy itself.

For a Strategy Reset, we work through a process to:

  • Identify where your strategy is unclear, overloaded, or inconsistent
  • Clarify what really matters
  • Surface constraints and trade-offs
  • Define a smaller number of meaningful priorities.

We won't rewrite your strategy, but we will make it more useful.

What this is not:

  • A strategic planning workshop
  • A document-writing or word-smithing exercise
  • A facilitation process to get agreement.

You will leave the Strategy Reset with:

  • A clearer, more focused understanding of your strategic direction
  • Alignment on what actually matters
  • Clarity on what to stop, not just what to do
  • Realistic, actionable next steps.

Decision Clarity

For leaders facing high-stakes decisions without a clear answer. Get clear on your scope, stakes and options.

You will find this intervention useful if:

  • Time is ticking on an important decision.
  • There is conflicting advice or competing priorities.
  • The stakes are high and the consequences matter.
  • You're circling the issue without resolution.
  • You suspect the difficulty isn't with the decision itself.

For a Decision Clarity intervention we work through a process to clarify the decision, options, and constraints.

We'll tackle:

  • Decision definition
  • Options assessment
  • Assumptions
  • Constraints and trade-offs.

You will leave a Decision Clarity session with:

  • Clarity on the real decision in front of you
  • A grounded understanding of real options
  • Confidence in trade-offs and uncertainty
  • A clear path forward.

Course Correct

For strategic change initiatives that are slow, scattered, or stuck in the starting blocks.

You will find this intervention useful if:

  • Progress on organisational change is slow, inconsistent, or blocked.
  • You're not getting traction where you expected it.
  • Stakeholders are resisting, disengaged, or inert.
  • The same issues keep repeating despite your best efforts.
  • What seems logical isn't translating into results.

Course Correct interventions are a focused strategic conversation to understand why you're not making progress, and what needs to change.

We'll work through a structured process to:

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies and blind spots.
  • Test assumptions about behaviour, stakeholders, and context.
  • Surface the dynamics shaping outcomes.
  • Clarify what is driving (and preventing) progress.

What this is not:

  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Communications training
  • A planning workshop
  • Surface-level troubleshooting.

You'll leave a Course Correct intervention with:

  • A clear understanding of what's holding back progress.
  • Visibility of the dynamics shaping behaviour and outcomes.
